Let me start by saying that I have tried a handful of workout apps with the intention of sticking to a gym routine, but didn’t commit to any of the apps for one reason or another. Either there were just too many options for plans and I couldn’t pick one to be consistent with, or there weren’t any plans that totally suited what I wanted, etc. Then I tried this one and immediately knew it was exactly what I wished all the other ones were. There’s one plan to follow so no decision fatigue, yet there’s enough built in variety to keep things interesting (not to mention that variety is crucial to build true functional strength and resilience) And even though there’s one plan, there are options for choosing frequency, splits, and equipment setup (home vs gym), so those options make it easy to tailor to one’s individual routine. As a physical therapist, I appreciate the emphasis on functional movements as well as the inclusion of prehab and mobility exercises in order to round out and support the resistance training, and as a strength and conditioning specialist, I feel that these guys know their stuff when it comes to programming. It’s clear that they’ve designed the training sessions with intention and purpose. They’ve left nothing out, yet the sessions are efficient and manageable in terms of time commitment. I really appreciate the consistency of the foundational full body lifts/exercises which allows for appropriate progressive overload, as well as the inclusion of unilateral and multiplanar resistance based exercises, power development, and agility based movements which trains the body to be resilient and build tissue capacity in a way that translates to sports and life in general, especially an active life. Like I said, they’ve left nothing out! This is the kind of program I am truly excited to commit to because I know that I will see gains from it, because it’s built on rock solid fundamentals and principles of exercise science. Big big thumbs up from me!!
